I am starting to rethink my original proposition about Windows 10 mobile development, after seeing the quite extraordinary growth of Windows 10 (not including Windows Mobile) , I am starting to think all the experiments with bridge tools designed to port iOS and Android to Windows Mobile, were actually designed for the Windows 10 platform more generally.
The universal app strategy technically makes this a distinction without a difference, but given this platforms growth potential (which soared past the 200 million mark, consider iPad cumulative sales are just north of that number), I am starting to understand why making this transition easier for established developers on other platforms is such a priority.
So rather than think of the bridge tools as a way to get Windows Mobile competitive I am now assuming that these tools are here to ensure the Window 10 platform specifically for desktops and tablets gets a fighting chance in the app wars.
