I found myself thinking about the qualities that are important to make me a better friend, husband, brother and colleague and if I am honest the quality of kindness was, regrettably, one of the last things I considered.
As I was walking around downtown Columbus this summer I happened upon this beautiful mural by Thom Glick which reads “To be kind is to be strong”. It reflects wonderfully this idea I have had for while, that we tend to underestimate the energy, tenacity and courage required to be kind and thoughtful on a daily basis.
